Salted Caramel Bliss Balls

Salted Caramel Bliss Balls

Salted Caramel Bliss Balls

I’m finding that creating new recipes with 2 (nearly) 3 year olds, demanding every second of my attention is quite tricky. I need them to be involved in the kitchen so that they will give me time to mess around with different ingredients. I know they love rolling bliss balls, so I figured a new bliss ball recipe should be easy enough…..so today I share with you my (our) new Salted Caramel Bliss Balls.

Seeings as though our (nearly) threenagers are being quite challenging recently I thought if I used the same ratios as my Cashew, Coconut and Chocolate Bliss Balls, but change up the ingredients, that’s should make it a little easier.

I was right (yay!). In the past, I’ve tried a few different ideas that just didn’t work. The mixture was too wet or too crumbly and just wouldn’t roll into balls nicely. These new Salted Caramel Bliss Balls roll really easily. The kids could even do it without me rolling them for them first.

No Chocolate.

As you can tell by the pictures and the name: there is no chocolate in these Salted Caramel Bliss Balls. No chocolate means it’s slightly (or a lot) harder to convince Norah to taste it. I think maybe I need to add the cacao to them next time I make them. Then I’ll slowly add less each time I make them. Hopefully that’ll get her used to the idea that not everything needs to be chocolate flavoured.

Feeding Kiddos can be a Challenge.

We were doing really well with food for quite a few weeks. I can actually see Norah putting on weight and she feels heavier. The last few days though, we’ve had more tantrums than eating. From both kids if I’m honest. They’re not sick, just trying to make their own decisions. Definitely age appropriate, but that doesn’t stop this CF Mumma from stressing about it.

These Salted Caramel Bliss Balls were so easy to make, I’ll definitely do them again. I’ll add the chocolate and maybe even put them in little patty pans like I did when I first introduced bliss balls to the twins. As for the ones that we made this week, Cole, my Mum and I will eat them. And I’m sure Norah will eat plenty of fruit and other such things that don’t contain any fat hahaha.

I hope you and your kiddos like these new Salted Caramel Bliss Balls!
