Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie
Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie.
I have been buying so many bananas recently, the kids love them as a quick snack and they’re easy to chuck in the bag when we go out. I used to hate seeing the bananas go brown on the bench when they weren’t eaten quick enough. Now I know those brown spots just mean they are going to be sweeter and I can use even less sugar in the treats I make for the kids. Win win.
Why didn’t I call this Tasty Banana Milk?
This morning as I proceeded to make the twins their morning smoothie, I forgot to call it tasty milk. I also didn’t put any cacao in it. This meant all of a sudden their chocolate tasty milk was a banana smoothie. Immediately they turned their noses up. “Chocolate, chocolate” they said (or demanded) to me as I put their cups down in front of them. OK, so if you’re after a delicious banana smoothie, then this is your recipe. If your children are like mine and need to have chocolate, you can add some cacao to the mixture. Or alternatively you could try their preferred Tasty Chocolate Milk.
